OMOTENASHI App app for iPhone and iPad

[Description]
This is an application for visitors to Japan like you. This feature-rich application helps you enjoy your stay in Japan even more. (Simple user registration is required.)
-Currently, the Gateway App is available in English, Chinese(both simplified and traditional), Korean, Thai and Portuguese. Other languages will be supported in the near future.

-To use the Gateway App, user registration is required. The user information is used for delivering wide range of services to visitors in Japan like you. The information you provide shall be used as stated in the “Terms of use” presented at the time of registration.


-The Gateway App plans to use your GPS-based location data to offer you enhanced services. Your GPS-based location data shall also be used as stated in the “Terms of use .“


[Services]
(“OpenID connect”) allows you to use all the services the Gateway App provides, with only your Gateway App user ID and a one-time authentication.

Once you become a registered user, you can enjoy the following services free of charge:

--Free Wi-Fi with an Gateway App user ID

You can use Wi-Fi networks in Japan provided by multiple Wi-Fi service providers (with over 60 thousand access points throughout Japan) free of charge.

Your Gateway App user ID allows you to use any of the participating service providers’ Wi-Fi networks; and no separate registration is required for each Wi-Fi network. The smooth handover between networks provides you the seamless coverage.

Gateway App is now working on increasing the number of free Wi-Fi access points from 60 thousand to more than 300 thousand.
For the time being, 250 thousand free access points will be offered for users who answered the the questionnaires in this App.


--Single Sign-on

With your Gateway App user ID you can use any of applications shown in the home page without separate registrations. There is no need to register for each application if you are a registered Gateway App user.

Additionally, you can use the link pages which will offer useful information to visitors in Japan who seek something beneficial and valuable.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
